Job Description Summer 2026 Feature Technical Direction Internship

Full‑Time (40 hours per week required) - Format:

- Observe and assist Technical Directors with writing tools for the production pipeline
- Craft and develop new software tools and applications to assist artists in large-scale feature animation productions
- Test, debug, and extend existing tools and systems
- Provide technical support to production artists
- Support additional administrative and data‑wrangling tasks as needed
- Programming experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or a recent graduate (within six months)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be willing to work in Glendale, California
- Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Visualization, or Digital Media (or equivalent)
- Experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java Script
- Knowledge of computer graphics
- Experience with project-tracking software such as Jira or equivalent
- Understanding of digital content creation applications such as Maya, Houdini, and/or Nuke
- Interest in Feature Animation
- Solid grasp of revision control systems such as Git
- Familiarity with User Experience (UX) concepts and/or User Interface (UI) design and development
Hourly Rate: $17.87
Hybrid:
This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
