ER Emergency Restoration is a rapidly growing, independent restoration firm seeking a highly skilled Emergency Services Inspector / Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for experienced mitigation professionals, reconstruction estimators, or former insurance adjusters who excel in fast‑paced loss environments and want long‑term growth with a stable company.
We are looking for a detail‑driven professional who can confidently inspect losses, produce defensible Xactimate estimates, and guide customers through the mitigation process from first response through scope development.
Ideal BackgroundWe strongly encourage candidates with experience at other property damage restoration companies, as well as former insurance adjusters or catastrophe inspectors.
Minimum Requirements- 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Xactimate (required)
- 2+ years of experience in water, fire, and/or mold restoration (required)
- Prior insurance adjuster experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IICRC mitigation standards
- Ability to create accurate sketches, scopes, and line‑item estimates
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer‑facing skills
- Ability to work in emergency response conditions
- Perform on‑site inspections for emergency service losses involving water, fire, smoke, and mold damage
- Conduct moisture mapping and document site conditions with comprehensive photos and notes
- Perform or oversee emergency mitigation actions when necessary (water extraction, demolition, containment, etc.)
- Install, monitor, and remove drying equipment in compliance with IICRC S500/S520 standards
- Develop accurate sketches, drying plans, and scopes of work
- Identify safety hazards and implement proper mitigation procedures
- Prepare detailed, defensible estimates using Xactimate in accordance with industry standards and company methodology
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, adjusters, and vendors
- Schedule and perform supplemental inspections and build‑back estimating
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the mitigation process
- Analyze labor, materials, equipment usage, and timelines for each project
- Identify code requirements, upgrades, and project constraints
- Coordinate with third‑party specialists when needed (ITEL testing, hygienists, engineers, etc.)
- Deliver consistent, high‑quality estimates that support efficient project execution
- Base Salary: $70,000
- Performance‑Based Commission:
Significant additional earning potential - High performers can earn substantially above base through production incentives
