Lawyers for Justice, P.C. is seeking an experienced Manager, Business Development to support and accelerate firmwide growth initiatives, partnering closely with leadership and attorneys across core practices.
This role works closely with the Senior Director of Marketing, executive leadership, and senior attorneys to translate growth strategy into action, blending strategic business development, referral growth, marketing execution, and performance tracking. The Manager, Business Development, plays a hands-on role in advancing revenue-driving initiatives, strengthening attorney engagement, and elevating the firm’s brand visibility in key markets.
This position is critical to expanding referral relationships, supporting attorney-led growth efforts, strengthening Lawyers for Justice’s market positioning, and building scalable business development infrastructure as the firm continues to grow into new regions and practice areas.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development Execution
- Support the planning and execution of business development initiatives across employment law and personal injury practices
- Translate firm and practice priorities into clear BD execution plans, timelines, and deliverables
- Manage pitch readiness, approvals, and coordination for proposals, presentations, capability decks, and referral materials
- Ensure consistent, high-quality execution of BD initiatives aligned with firm brand and growth goals
Attorney & Referral Support
- Partner with attorneys to support referral development, pipeline activity, and relationship-building initiatives
- Produce enablement materials such as positioning documents, conference one-pagers, and market-entry assets to support business development efforts
- Provide structure, templates, and tools to strengthen attorney participation in BD efforts
- Coordinate follow-ups and materials related to referral partners, co-counsel, and strategic relationships
Marketing Communications & Visibility
- Partner with Marketing to elevate attorney and practice visibility
- Support integrated campaigns across digital, social, PR, email, and events with a business development lens
- Lead coordination and drafting support for legal directory submissions, awards, and rankings
- Manage updates to attorney bios, practice pages, and credentials to support consistent market positioning
- Travel as needed to attend conferences, community and industry events to develop relationships
- Support identification and execution of speaking opportunities, sponsor ships, and community or industry events
- Assist with planning, coordination, and post-event follow-up to maximize business development impact
- Partner with internal teams to support client, referral, and community-facing events
- Maintain organized tracking of event participation, outreach, and outcomes
- Manage updates to BD materials, credentials, and case highlights to support business development efforts
- Flag gaps, risks, or process improvements to enhance BD efficiency
Analytics, Reporting & Optimization
- Track business development activity, referral performance, and pipeline indicators
- Support reporting and insights related to BD initiatives and attorney engagement
- Use performance insights to inform prioritization and future planning
- Maintain organized trackers and documentation to support leadership visibility
- 5–7 years of experience in business development, marketing, or growth roles within legal, professional services, or similar environments
- Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with senior attorneys and leaders
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment
- High level of professionalism, judgment, and client-service mindset
- Experience supporting attorneys or senior professionals in business development efforts
- Familiarity with referral-based or relationship-driven growth models
- Experience with legal marketing or service-based organizations (a plus, not required)
- Working knowledge of CRM and marketing tools such as Salesforce, Litify, , or similar platforms
