Transit Dispatcher​/Backup Driver

Transit Dispatcher/Backup Driver ($14.70/hr)

Applicants must be 18 years of age, possess a valid AZ Driver’s License, have a high school diploma or GED, and be a US citizen. Applicants must have no felony convictions. This is a Part‑Time position.

• Routine clerical, administrative, and technical work in receiving and dispatching routine and emergency information.
• Keeping official records.
• Assisting in the administration of the standard operating policies and procedures of the transit program and dial‑a‑ride program.
• Filling in as a backup driver as needed.

• Good communication skills – written & oral.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Computer proficient using dual screens and able to type.
• General office skills.
• Time management.
• Sense of urgency.
• Prioritizes the bus & dial‑a‑ride schedule when driving.
• Willingness to help others.

Must be able to pass a drug test, which includes THC, upon being hired and comply with random drug tests during employment per FTA & Town of Miami Drug‑Free Workplace Policy and Procedures.
