Position: Facility Maintenance Technician - Painter

Reports to: Chief Engineer

Type: Non-exempt

• Maintain accurate records of labor time, parts used, and work accomplished.
• Perform general building maintenance including repairs/replacements of bathroom hardware, ceiling tiles, furniture, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roof, and field assistance.
• Complete reactive and preventive maintenance work orders timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, willingness to cross-train, and ability to learn on the job.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong general mechanical ability.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements, security, and safety.
• Experience in large, multiuse facilities preferred.

• Knowledge of drywall, doors, hardware, millwork, seating, and furniture repair.
• Knowledge of building maintenance and major systems repairs.
• Knowledge of staging, man-lifts, forklifts, concrete, tile, grout, VCT, rugs, laminates, and framing.
• Ability to work independently or under supervision.
• Operate small machinery such as pressure washers, saws, drills, grinders.
• Additional skills in welding, carpentry, locksmithing preferred.
• Computer skills and experience with electronic maintenance programs are a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, climb stairs, lift 40 lbs, and work at heights.
• Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

• Ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team.
• Customer service skills and ability to uphold team values.
