RN NICU - Full Time Nights

Job Summary

Job Type: Full Time

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

The NICU Registered Nurse provides professional, compassionate nursing care to neonates within our Level III NICU. This role coordinates care planning with the multidisciplinary team and renders individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. The RN systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to support optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

* Provide safe, evidence-based care to critically ill infants.

* Act as a clinical leader by assessing, planning, delegating, and using independent judgment to direct other healthcare team members.

* Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care.

* Participate in hourly rounding and follow safety guidelines and best practices.

* Supervise and mentor other members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

* Minimum Requirements

* Experience:

At least 1 year of current hospital-based acute care RN experience in a NICU.

* Education:

Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.

* Certifications:

* Current RN license in the State of Arizona (or compact license),

* CPR

* NRP (required upon orientation completion)

* ACLS as applicable by facility/department

* Preferred Requirements

* Experience:

At least 1 year of Level III NICU experience, including care of infants requiring conventional ventilators, HFOV, central lines, and therapeutic hypothermia.

* Education:

BSN

* Certifications:

Specialty certification a plus.
