Position Overview

Working from our Glendale location, the Perioperative RN is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care from admission to discharge in the pre, intra, and post-procedure settings.

Responsibilities

Assess patient status on admission and throughout care.

Implement standards of care based on assessment data and patient goals.

Coordinate nursing interventions to achieve expected outcomes and ensure readiness for discharge.

Provide organized and timely patient care.

Follow all policies and procedures of the surgery center.

Utilize nursing care standards in planning and care delivery.

Respond effectively in emergency situations.

Assess learning needs and provide appropriate education.

Maintain professionalism, courtesy, and cooperation.

Demonstrate competence in designated skills.

Communicate effectively with team members, including physicians and staff.

Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures.

Operate equipment safely and report unsafe conditions.

Assist with cleaning and maintaining work areas.

Use proper body mechanics and understand emergency procedures.

Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement projects.

Maintain appropriate dress and appearance.

Attend required meetings and training.

Maintain confidentiality of patient and facility information.

Notify of absences or tardiness and request time off as per procedures.

Delegate tasks appropriately to LPNs and support staff.

Minimum Requirements

Associate's degree in nursing or equivalent;
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Current Arizona RN license.
CPR and ACLS certifications within 90 days of employment.
1-2 years related experience or training preferred.

Pay Range

Starting at $35/hour. Actual pay based on skills and experience.
