The Urodynamist is responsible for the testing and analysis of the functional disorders of the lower urinary tract, i.e., the bladder and the urethra.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Prepares exam room in the clinical area for daily patient care, adhering to sterilization and disinfection practices throughout the facility.
- Directs patients to exam rooms, taking the required vital signs and obtaining urine specimens; performs dip and automated urinalyses and microscopic exams when indicated at the end.
- Provide diagnostic urodynamics testing for patients, including accurate measurement of their urinary flow and residual urine volumes and assessment of their symptoms.
- Ensure completion of consents and required accurate documentation in EMR.
- Responsible for follow‑op phone calls to patients.
- Coordinate the inventory and control of all clinical supplies with the Nurse Manager. Maintains established PAR levels; ordering of supplies is timely and relative to the site budget. Supply cabinets are neat and organized.
- Assists in maintenance of all logs and records for OSHA/MOSHA.

Qualifications- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of medical assistance experience.
- Two years of Urology experience preferred.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification is a plus.
- Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Proficiency in triaging patients, inserting, and removing catheters, blood draws, giving injections, and obtaining vitals and specimens.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer software and database skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to type 40 words per minute.
- Must be able to travel to other locations within the geographic region as needed, up to two times per week.
