we are currently seeking a dedicated bht who will serve as a positive role model to support, lead, and encourage youth and young adults. You will have the chance to form lasting relationships, encourage positive behavior, and design activities to promote the overall welfare of participants, all while increasing your knowledge of social work, behavioral studies, and management skills. new horizon community care offers outpatient services throughout the valley with locations in chandler, tempe, glendale, phoenix, and casa grande!

our direct services program is available for clients from early childhood to youth and teens, all through adulthood. We provide treatment focusing on individual goals, family support, health & wellness, life skills development, and emotion management. Direct service bhts are a big part of our client's treatment team, including therapists, caseworkers, probation officers, legal guardians, etc.

individual or group sessions are provided but not limited to the following: general mental health (gmh), substance abuse, psycho‑educational topics, anger management, emotion regulation, grief/loss/trauma, and healthy relationships.

we encourage the development of healthy relationships and personal growth through group and individual treatment programs. Our mentors and clinicians work closely with the client's treatment teams, families, and guardians to ensure they receive the most effective services.

new horizon community care (nhcc) is a non‑profit agency specializing in outpatient behavioral health services, serving at‑risk youth, teens, and adults all around the valley. Established in 2001, nhcc has developed a programming structure that challenges, encourages, and empowers clients to enhance their self‑esteem and modify their behaviors in order to become productive community members.

Clients participate in activities, groups, and life lessons that help them assess their internal strengths, capabilities and improve decision‑making skills. • must meet the minimum state licensing requirement for behavioral health technicians or para professionals
  • candidates must be at least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or ged
  • experience working with at‑risk or behavioral health care with youth, teens, or adults
  • valid az driver's license with no restrictions

* applicants must also be able to complete criminal history self‑dislosure affidavits and obtain an arizona department of public safety (dps) unrestricted level 1 fingerprint clearance card, which involves a state and federal criminal background check.*

* all positions at nhcc are safety‑sensitive, as defined in ars 23‑439. Therefore, the company prohibits the use, sale, manufacture, distribution, or possession of alcohol, drugs, controlled substances, medical marijuana, or drug paraphernalia on any and all segments of the company premises, company‑owned vehicles, or personal vehicles used for company business or parked on company property. Nhcc is a drug‑free zone with zero tolerance for violators.*

• $23.00 - $27.00 per hour based on education and experience in the behavioral health field
