Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

Pay Range: $18-24
ResponsibilitiesThe role involves working with children with autism, implementing behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision, and applying evidence-based techniques to teach key skills while reducing challenging behaviors. You should be comfortable with physical activity as clients move, requiring you to stand, walk, sit, grasp, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, lift, and sometimes carry items or children up to 50 pounds.
QualificationsRequired:
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Preferred (not required):
- Experience working as a Behavioral Technician or with children with autism or other learning disabilities, or roles such as Teacher’s Aide, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver or Home Health Aide
