About

the Role

Oper Fi is hiring a Relationship Manager to own a portfolio of factoring clients and manage the day-to-day relationship, funding decisions, and exception resolution. This role is fast paced, client‑facing, and requires strong judgment, organization, and communication.

What You Will Do
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
  • Approve daily funding and manage time sensitive decisions
  • Resolve exceptions that prevent funding (missing docs, verification issues, disputes, policy holds)
  • Monitor portfolio health and risk trends (aging, debtor behavior, exposure concerns)
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, underwriting, accounting, collections) to resolve issues quickly
  • Maintain accurate notes and clean client and debtor contact data
  • Escalate risk and fraud concerns immediately and document outcomes
What We Are Looking For
  • 2+ years in transportation, factoring, commercial finance, credit, account management, or operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication with a professional tone under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail, follow through, and time management
  • Comfortable making decisions and enforcing policy requirements
  • Proficient with Outlook and Excel and able to learn internal systems quickly
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Experience working with invoices, AR, credit, or funding operations
