The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority is seeking a Director of Engineering and Project Delivery, a senior leader within the Planning and Development division at Hollywood Burbank Airport, reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, Planning and Development. This pivotal role oversees all engineering design, construction, and development initiatives at the Airport. With direct managerial responsibility over staff and technical consultants, the Director ensures the successful execution of capital improvement projects that support the Airport’s long-term strategic goals.

• Lead and manage the Engineering Department, including hiring and staff development.
• Oversee all design, construction, and inspection activities at the Airport.
• Supervise consultants, engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on project planning and execution.
• Ensure all construction conforms to codes, contracts, and safety standards.
• Support long-range planning and capital project prioritization.
• Liaise with tenants, government agencies, and the public on development initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with FAA and local regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.
• Current and valid registration as a licensed Civil Engineer, Professional Engineer or Architect in the State of California or the ability to obtain within the first year of employment is highly desired.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in engineering or architecture, including staff supervision.
• Experience with airport capital improvement projects and pavement engineering.
• PMP or CCM certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations, public procurement, and budget development.
• Valid California driver’s license (or ability to obtain) and TSA security clearance eligibility.

The hiring range for this position is $190,000 - $215,000. The starting salary will be determined by the candidate's qualifications and experience.
