Key Responsibilities
Work with a team of Technicians and Engineering Resources in Electronic Test to build/fabricate/repair Test Equipment in the eFab (Electronic Fabrication group), as well as build/repair/mod blue‑label avionics products. This includes supporting customers across Engineering and ISC and covers the full range of tasks from replacing a broken pin on a connector to working on a CCA to building a full‑up ATE and all the sub‑assemblies going into it.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and will work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on‑site.
Assembly, modification, and repair tasks include:
- Cable Harnesses
- Circuit Cards, including delicate and micro‑electronics
- Break‑out Boxes / Test Adapters
- Power Controllers
- Full‑up Test Stations / Racks
- EMI Fixture li>Micro‑Electronics
Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and remain agile in the labs with miscellaneous Test Equipment.
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of electronic technician experience
- Able to read and understand mechanical schematics and prints
- 3+ years soldering experience
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics and prints
- Knowledge and use of crimping tools, soldering iron, cutters / strippers, mechanical tools, volt‑meter, continuity testers, label maker, etc.
- Experience working on blue‑label products
- Experience with electronic troubleshooting and repair
- Work directly with engineering with build recommendations and offer problem solving solutions
- Familiar with IPC standards and/or IPC certified
- Familiar with SAP
- Computer savvy
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, agility in the labs with misc. Test Equipment
