Position SummaryAs a member of our team, you will be instrumental in fulfilling our mission: “Enabling Engineering Breakthroughs that Lead to a Better Tomorrow.” Your contributions will be pivotal in developing innovative technologies and products, significantly contributing to Parker’s goal of addressing the world’s most pressing engineering challenges.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Supervise and direct work activity of team members on the designated shift. Distribute workload appropriately, motivate and empower subordinates, and develop team members through construction and execution of development plans.
- Work with team members to identify continuous improvement opportunities, eliminating waste in assigned departments and championing Lean Kaizen events. Participate in cost‑reduction programs and coordinate new product launches with Engineering.
- Assess quality performance (or cost‑of‑quality) using statistical and analytical methods, devising and implementing inspection, testing, and evaluation procedures for product and process precision, reliability, and accuracy.
- Develop and establish quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, and cost estimates. Ensure project and/or process control documentation complies with requirements and/or contracts.
- Determine staffing requirements for the assigned inspection area and ensure departmental productivity targets are met to meet customer requirements.
- Develop and deploy standardized work instructions and maintain process stability through standardized work.
- Prepare reports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing, and summarizing data. Recommend actions and compile training materials; conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
- Participate in failure analysis and corrective action investigations, enhancing products and processes through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- Represent the company in customer and vendor visits, audits, and corrective action planning.
- B.A./B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline and 4+ years of directly related experience.
- Proficient in assessing and implementing continuous improvement techniques in quality and manufacturing functions. Familiarity with standard business applications and specialized data analysis tools.
- Thorough knowledge of inspection and quality engineering techniques, including Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation, problem‑solving, teamwork, and team‑building skills.
- Ability to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals, serving as a role model that promotes innovation and positive change.
- Experience with data reporting tools such as Alteryx or Web Focus.
- Experience with MS Power Apps, Forms, and Power Automate.
- American Society for Quality certification.
