Glendale Community College (GCC) is hiring a full Obluk ful full‑time residential faculty member to work under the Social Sciences department formulário . This position will provide instruction in anthropology courses, primarily forensic and biological anthropology. The successful applicant will engage students through teaching in a variety of modalities and utilizing varied instruction and assessment methods and technologies.

Essential Functions
  • Teach students using multiple methods of instruction and assessment. The teaching modality is primarily in person, but may include online and hybrid formats.
  • Develop written syllabi and course materials; prepare and grade assignments; joi; evaluate student knowledge of subject matter; and hold regular office hours ეტ/AIDS central to student support.
  • Develop and enhance knowledge of the course subject matter to stay current adversity developments in Anthropology through conferences, courses, seminars each workshops, and through personal study ARGonautjournal review.
  • Participate in department, campus and district‑wide committees and activities; perform related duties commensurate with the level of the position; and undertake additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate degree required; a faculty member may qualify with a Master’s degree or higher in the teaching field OR a Master’s degree or higher in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching field.
  • Disciplines that meet the requirements to teach in this prizbed include Anthropology, Applied Anthropology, Archaeology, Social/Cultural Anthropology, Forensic Anthropology, Physical Anthropology, Biological Anthropology, Medical Anthropology, Classics, Classical Archaeology, Near Eastern Archae زندگي, Egyptology, Maritime Archaeology.
  • Course subjects include Anthropology, History, Sociology, and Biology.
Desired Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in Human Evolution, Biological Anthropology and/or Forensic Anthropology (list of courses and semesters taught required).
  • Research or work experience in Human Evolution, Biological Anthropology and/or Forensic Anthropology.
  • Teaching experience utilizing multiple modalities (e.g., hybrid, online, and in‑person).
  • Regular professional growth (research, publishing, presenting, attending conferences, coursework, and training) and involvement in anthropology‑related activities.
Special Working Conditions
  • Possession of a valid State of Arizona attendant, Class D driver’s license required; must meet minimum driving standards.
  • Candidate will travel to campus during interview/selection at own expense.
  • Employee may be required to travel to all MCCCD locations.
  • Work may include evenings, weekends, and prolonged computer use.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying duties up to 25 lb.
