Automotive Shop Foreman

Overview

Sanderson Ford in Glendale, Arizona is seeking an experienced Automotive Shop Foreman to lead daily operations within our service department. This role is ideal for a Ford-experienced technician or senior-level tech who is ready to step into a leadership position focused on shop efficiency, repair quality, and technician development.

Ford dealership experience is required. Master or Senior Master Technicians are strongly encouraged to apply, but not required. If you are a hands-on leader who leads by example, communicates clearly, and takes pride in running a high-performing shop, we want to talk with you.

• Direct daily shop workflow, dispatching, and repair prioritization to maximize efficiency

• Support advanced diagnostics and complex repair strategies

• Serve as the primary link between technicians, service advisors, and management

• Monitor repair quality and proactively reduce comebacks

• Coach technicians on diagnostic accuracy, productivity, and repair standards

• Train and mentor technicians at all skill levels, from entry-level to A-level

• Promote and enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized shop

• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

• Ford dealership experience required

• Master or Senior Master Technician status preferred (not required)

• Proven leadership ability with a hands-on, coach-first approach

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting expertise

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide, teach, and resolve issues

• Highly organized and comfortable managing shop flow in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with Ford OEM repair procedures and diagnostic systems

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
