DescriptionIncarnation Catholic Church in Glendale is seeking a highly organized and dependable Part-Time Ministry Support Assistant to provide administrative and communications support to the parish’s Faith Formation and Communications ministries.
This position plays an important role in ensuring parish programs operate efficiently through accurate record keeping, logistical coordination, and timely preparation of print and digital communications.
Primary responsibilities include supporting Religious Education and Confirmation administration, preparing rosters and sacramental documentation, assisting with parent communications, formatting the weekly bulletin, creating basic graphics and flyers using Canva, updating the parish website, and scheduling approved social media content.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with digital tools, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a parish environment.
Requirements- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Canva for basic graphic design and layout
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Professional, discreet, and dependable
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience in a parish, church, or nonprofit setting preferred but not required
- Availability for 20 hours per week, primarily weekdays, with evening and occasional weekend availability required during sacramental celebrations and peak ministry seasons
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
