Staff Accountant

Description

Our company is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire position in Glendale, AZ. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, be experienced with either Great Plains or Sage, and demonstrate reliability and integrity. You will support core accounting operations and help ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger

+ Assist in month-end and year-end close processes

+ Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts

+ Perform account analysis and assist in budget preparation

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

+ Help prepare financial statements and management reports

+ Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures

+ Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors as required

Requirements

Software Requirements:

+ Proficiency with Great Plains OR Sage is required

+

Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs is preferred

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

+ Prior experience in accounting roles required

+ High attention to detail and analytical skills

+ Solid organizational and communication abilities

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

+ Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
