VP of Accounting

Vaco is partnering with a company located in Scottsdale to find a Vice President of Accounting who thrives in a hands‑on, multifaceted role. This position is ideal for an accounting leader who thrives on building teams, driving influence, and collaborating closely, while gaining meaningful exposure to executive leadership and playing a key role in shaping the next stage of a growing platform.

• Serves as the primary accounting authority across both corporate and property‑level entities
• Builds, mentors, and manages multiple accounting teams while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day operations
• Hands‑on exposure to acquisitions, financing, and increasingly complex transactions
• Excels in fast‑growing organizations where priorities shift and new opportunities emerge

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Master’s in Accounting
• CPA designation required
• Proven senior‑level accounting leadership experience in private equity, real estate or investment management environments
• Background working within PE‑backed organizations or platforms undergoing institutional growth
• Requires 5 days onsite
• Salary is $170k‑$190k plus bonus

Salary $170k‑$190k plus bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance and a 401(k) retirement plan.
