Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain the Chaparral Fitness Center and assist fitness center users.
- Serve as fitness contact for Chaparral Fitness patrons.
- Answer health and fitness related questions.
- Instruct and assist patrons in the use of exercise equipment at Chaparral Fitness.
- Input and maintain patron records using member tracking software.
- Process memberships, take payments and record financial transactions.
- Ability to administer life support to those in need of immediate emergency care.
- Ensure that the equipment is clean and in good working order.
- Communicate any equipment malfunctions to the Chaparral Fitness Manager.
- Solve patron issues based on a thorough understanding of Chaparral Fitness rules and policies.
- Maintain a safe exercise environment for all patrons.
- Other duties as required.
- Education
- CPR Certification.
- High School graduate required.
- AA degree with Physical Education emphasis preferred.
- Experience
- One year experience working in a weight room or fitness center required.
- More than one year experience working in a weight room or fitness center preferred.
- Member tracking software, Apple and Microsoft applications, televisions, all types of fitness equipment.
- Busy public service area.
- Must have excellent people skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to bend and stoop.
- Variable hours including weekends and evenings.
- This position requires a background check.
6am-12pm and every other Saturday, total 24 hours weekly;
Weekly day flexibility.
6 Hourly/Starting salary beginning at $20.14/hourly, based on experience. Competitive starting pay is dependent on education and experience.
