Position SummaryThe qualified candidate will perform duties and responsibilities necessary to support students and faculty. For rates please refer to the Substitute Manual.
Qualifications / Requirements- PEL required with SDE endorsement (registered in DuPage County, Region 19)
- Knowledge of Google platforms is preferred
- Ability to thrive in a self‑directed position
- Good rapport with adolescents
- Detail oriented, assist students and follow lesson plans
- Organizational, clerical, and technical skills
- Skills to operate various school‑related equipment (Smart Boards, iPads, DVD players)
- Skills in both written and verbal communication
- Must sit, talk or hear regularly.
- Must stand, walk, operate duplicating machines and computer equipment; reach with hands and arms; repeat actions with the same hand, arm or finger motion such as when typing.
- Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus, and to withstand long‑term use of video display terminals.
- May occasionally lift up to 30 pounds (e.g., reference books).
- Noisy environment is usually moderate.
- Work pace is fast.
