Substitute Teacher

Academic School Year

Valid PEL with a Safety & Drivers Education Endorsement (SDE) and must be registered in DuPage County Region 19

The qualified candidate will perform duties and responsibilities necessary to support students and faculty. For rates please refer to the Substitute Manual.

• PEL required with SDE endorsement (registered in DuPage County, Region 19)
• Knowledge of Google platforms is preferred
• Ability to thrive in a self‑directed position
• Good rapport with adolescents
• Detail oriented, assist students and follow lesson plans
• Organizational, clerical, and technical skills
• Skills to operate various school‑related equipment (Smart Boards, iPads, DVD players)
• Skills in both written and verbal communication

• Must sit, talk or hear regularly.
• Must stand, walk, operate duplicating machines and computer equipment; reach with hands and arms; repeat actions with the same hand, arm or finger motion such as when typing.
• Requires close vision and ability to adjust focus, and to withstand long‑term use of video display terminals.
• May occasionally lift up to 30 pounds (e.g., reference books).
• Noisy environment is usually moderate.
• Work pace is fast.
