The successful adjunct candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural environment and to supporting student success in learning. Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings and weekends. Primary duties and responsibilities are described below.
Responsibilities- Adjunct Faculty instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, online, hybrid and/or blended formats.
- Responsible for student evaluation and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
- Minimum of a bachelor s degree in Fashion Design or closely related design discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years fashion industry experience.
- Teaching experience in apparel construction techniques and pattern making.
- Experience using industrial sewing machines.
- Face-to-face instruction on campus.
- Knowledge of current industry practices.
- Teaching experience at the college level.
- Ability to teach remotely with technology; experience in online or virtual teaching is preferred. Access to personal technology and a home computer with the ability to teach online is required.
