Body Shop Porter

Jerry Haggerty Chevrolet is seeking a reliable and dedicated Body Shop Porter to join our team in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. In this role, you will play an integral part in supporting the Body Shop team and ensuring a safe, organized, and customer-focused work environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

• Safely move and clean customer vehicles as requested
• Vacuum and clean vehicle interiors, including windows and chrome polishing
• Park cars in designated areas and ensure proper vehicle flow
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the department and surrounding areas
• Move tools, parts, and materials as needed to support shop operations
• Adhere to customer service standards and contribute to positive customer experiences
• Comply with all safety and environmental regulations to maintain a safe workplace

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of auto body shop techniques and processes is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Skilled in operating power tools safely and efficiently
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
• Customer-focused with the ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times

Pay: $15-20/hour (based on experience)
