Overview

BJC Home Care is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join their Illinois team to provide PTA support for patients in their own homes. This role is based out of Glen Carbon, IL.

Base pay range

$26.45/hr - $43.91/hr

Schedule and region
  • Full-time
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • No weekends

BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, and high-tech respiratory care. The organization serves thousands of patients across Missouri and Illinois and operates in multiple counties as one of the largest home care networks in the region.

Role purpose

Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed physical therapist in the patient’s health care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed physical therapist.
  • Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist to assess and reassess patient’s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.
  • Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable); contributes recommendations to discharge notes from physical therapy.
  • Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the physical therapist.
  • Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.
