Description We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Glen Burnie, MD

Location: Glen Burnie, MD

Organization: Cummins Inc.

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred). Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution, locally valid driving permit (Preferred).

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.

• Have experience with internal engine parts
• Be able to complete a basic in-frame
• Comprehend aftertreatment systems
• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This role will be subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
• A current valid license is required for this role
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
• This role requires the applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). years of driving experience
• This role is subject to DOT driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
• Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
• A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
