Field Service Installer

Job Summary

Responsible for the physical installation of land mobile radio and other telecommunications equipment at a variety of customer sites, including commercial and government buildings, as well as outdoor telecom shelters.

• Install networking, server, workstation, and ancillary hardware for commercial and government radio systems, E911 technologies, and related telecom solutions
• Mount indoor and outdoor antennas on various structures
• Pull and route data and coaxial cables throughout buildings and other environments
• Terminate cabling using appropriate connectors
• Test antenna and cable installations to ensure compliance with performance standards
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and parts in the installation vehicle
• Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and relevant industry standards
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
• Familiarity with cable testing and diagnostic equipment
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in building, mechanical, or industrial trades preferred

• Ability to climb, work at heights, bend, pull, reach overhead, and stand or walk for extended periods
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and pull cables through varied cable paths
