All About On DemandYou can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime app.
Reliable attendance is necessary. You are expected to pick up and work shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not respond to contact attempts or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. You will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term training schedule.
The myTime app is used to pick up shifts thereafter.

Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. They are knowledgeable about in-store and digital services to drive adoption and guest loyalty, and provide fast, accurate service at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up.

Typical Day A Guest Advocate will have a day that includes the following responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience as you complete daily tasks
- Engage with guests to understand and solve their needs
- Know tools, products, and services to assist guests and improve their experience
- Thank guests for choosing Target
- Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Inform guests about current brand launches, store activities and events
- Explain and assist with Target Loyalty programs and fulfillment services
- Demonstrate how to use Wallet and other Target App features
- Handle returns per policy and escalate to leaders when needed
- De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- Maintain a clean, organized work area
- Stock supplies during store hours and be available for guests
- Uphold safety, ethics, and compliance
- Support guest services including order pickup, drive-up, and returns while complying with laws
- Assist with Cash Office processes as needed
- All other duties based on business needs

Other Basics
- Accurate cash handling and support for cash office operations as needed
- Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely (lifting up to 10 lbs frequently, up to 44 lbs occasionally)
- Shift flexibility to meet store needs
- Active engagement by picking up shifts; you must work at least one shift within 5 months or be terminated
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
- Mobility to be on their feet for scheduled shift length
