Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1049)

Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $16.00 USD per hour.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and when guests need assistance.
• Engage with guests to solve their specific needs and resolve concerns; assist with promotions, store activities, and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Explain the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Explain how to use Target App features (Wallet, Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, online ordering) and assist with enrollment and usage.
• Handle returns following store policies, seeking assistance from Leaders as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; stock supplies during store hours and assist guests as required.
• Adhere to safety policies and report hazards; perform duties safely and ethically.
• Support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up, while complying with applicable laws (e.g., alcohol regulations).

• Excellent communication and a welcoming, helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment; strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
• Effective multitasking and attention to detail; able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; comfortable using multiple communication devices.
• Physical ability to lift/move merchandise as needed (up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 44 pounds occasionally).
