Are you right out of college? Maybe switching careers? Interested in making a difference for people in the community? Carlson Financial is dedicated to creating long‑term, successful career paths for those who are passionate about financial planning and crave to make a positive impact to those families we work with.

Overview

At Carlson Financial, we believe our clients deserve a team of trusted professionals who help them live their best retirement with clarity and confidence. As a Communication Advisor
, you’ll play a vital role in delivering that experience — ensuring clients feel heard, informed, and cared for at every stage of their journey.

This entry‑level position is designed for individuals who are passionate about financial planning, love to learn, and want to grow into an accomplished Financial Advisor. You’ll be part of a collaborative three‑advisor team supporting each client:

  • The Chief Advisor oversees long‑term strategy and client relationships.
  • The Main Advisor leads ongoing planning and quarterly meetings.
  • The Communication Advisor
(you) serve as the bridge between clients and the advisory team, ensuring every detail is managed and every question is answered with excellence.

This is not a sales role. It’s a relationship, communication, and execution role for those who thrive in an environment that values teamwork, personal growth, and client‑first service.

Key Responsibilities Client Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between client meetings, providing timely updates and proactive communication.
  • Send pre‑meeting and post‑meeting emails summarizing topics discussed and outlining next steps for all parties.
  • Coordinate with the advisory team to ensure all client needs and follow‑ups are handled quickly and accurately.
Meeting Preparation & Data Gathering
  • Collect, organize, and analyze client data to prepare for quarterly strategy meetings.
  • Update client spreadsheets, financial plans, and meeting agendas in advance of each meeting.
  • Ensure the Main Advisor and Chief Advisor have everything they need to deliver a seamless, professional client experience.
Advisory Support & Implementation
  • Translate meeting notes and action items into clear, trackable tasks — and follow them through to completion.
  • Collaborate with other departments and team members to resolve client issues efficiently.
  • Support ongoing planning and problem‑solving initiatives for clients under your advisory team’s care.

We’re looking for driven individuals who want to build a long‑term career — not just a job. The Communication Advisor role is the first step in Carlson Financial’s structured career path designed to help you grow into an elite‑level Financial Advisor.

  • As you master the fundamentals of communication, organization, and client care, you’ll progress to a Main Advisor role — taking a more active role in financial analysis, client strategy, and relationship leadership.
  • From there, top performers advance to Chief Advisor
, overseeing major client relationships and mentoring the next generation of advisors.

At every level, your income opportunity grows with your expertise and impact. Our advisors are rewarded not only for the work they do, but for the lifelong relationships they build and the trust they earn.

Carlson Financial offers a growth‑focused, high‑expectation environment, one that challenges you, develops you, and ultimately allows you to earn more, contribute more, and make a deeper impact than in any other financial advisory career.

Who Thrives Here

We’re looking for individuals who embody our A‑Player Attributes — people who are confident yet humble, growth‑minded, proactive, emotionally intelligent, and resourceful.

You’ll fit in well if you:

  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
  • Are organized, detail‑oriented, and love solving problems.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Take ownership of your work and respond quickly (speed builds trust).
  • Have a natural curiosity about personal finance and a genuine desire to make a difference in people’s lives.
Our Core Values
  • Excellence: An obsessive commitment to pursue perfection in everything we do.
  • Passion: We love our mission and gain energy from helping clients live their best financial life.
  • Integrity: We say what we’re going to do, and we do it.
  • Care: We’re real and authentic in caring for both our clients and our teammates.
