Overview
We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join a leading Company located in the Glen Allen, VA surrounding area. The Accounting Manager serves as an integral part of the corporate accounting team responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly close processes, including departmental expense reviews and supporting work papers for financial statement preparation and reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Manage the annual financial statement audit process with an external audit firm.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for decision
-making. - Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax filings and audit s.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicates hazards and/or suggests improvements to the manager.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
