NOTICE OF VACANCY

POSITION:

RN School Nurse, Full-Time (Union)

Nayaug Elementary School

WAGES:

$60,896-$72,891, depending on experience

SCHEDULE:

* 183 Days per year; 8:30-4:00

* Daily location within the district assigned by the Director of Nursing depending on district needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* RN licensed by the State of Connecticut

* CPR/AED certified

* One year work experience within last five years, at a minimum

* Preference given to experience in school nursing, pediatrics or emergency room care

* Confidence in medical procedures and diabetic management

* Experienced with electronic documentation and Google programs

DUTIES:

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Support the district nurses within the schools

* Provides emergency care for students and staff

* Assist in the daily nursing management of assigned health office.

* Administer prescribed medications.

* Document the nursing process.

* Assist with state mandated screenings.

* Assist with the maintenance of mandated physical exam and immunization documentation.

* Being flexible regarding schedule to provide substitute nursing coverage when needed within the district
