We work as a team to make people healthy and prevent medical conditions from worsening. Having experience in nutritional counseling and cognitive behavioral techniques is a bonus. Enjoy long weekends as offices are closed Friday - Sunday. (Long weekends off!)
We also have a teaching kitchen, social media platforms, and many other opportunities for professional growth based on areas of interest.
Our office hours are Mon - Thurs from 8am - 6pm. The position is in the Glastonbury location.
Responsibilities- Dietary assessment of patient s readiness to change
- Initiate, monitor and re-evaluate nutritional and lifestyle strategies to promote weight loss and improve metabolic function
- Educate and provide guidance for patients through potential barriers for success
- Use cognitive behavioral techniques to promote behavior change
- Formulate menus for therapeutic diets
- Create resources for patients
- Provide ongoing support and encouragement to create a collaborative effort with patient

- Required Qualifications: Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN) by the Connecticut Department of Health, Certified Health Coach (preferred), Passion to help people (required)
- Preferred skills: Clinical Nutrition, Nutritional and Behavioral Counseling, Experience in documenting in electronic medical records. Job Type: Full-time Benefits:
