Overview
Senior Lead Environmental Scientist position at WSP in the U.S. supporting Connecticut operations in Glastonbury and Shelton, CT. Be involved in projects with the Earth and Environment Team and contribute to a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves challenges.
Responsibilities- Prepare environmental work plans and manage projects through completion, on time and within budget
- Manage existing clients and develop new business
- Supervise, mentor and train junior staff
- Data analysis and interpretation to determine the next course of action
- B.S. or M.S. degree in geology, hydrogeology or environmental engineering
- CTDEEP Licensed Environmental Professional
- Minimum 10 years of experience working as a Connecticut environmental consultant with strong understanding of CTDEEP RSRs, RCRA and TSCA
- Master’s Degree is preferred
- Essential professional licensure/certification
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR ) preferred
- Water supply development and permitting experience are not required, but a plus
- Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS software is a plus
