Geotechnical Engineer

Glastonbury, CT, United States

We are seeking a motivated Geotechnical Engineer for our Glastonbury, CT (Hartford) office. This position will involve gaining experience within the commercial construction, waterfront, dam and levee, and public infrastructure sectors. • Perform engineering analysis and calculations.
• Oversee geotechnical field investigations.
• Coordinate and interpret lab test data.
• Manage geotechnical data through spreadsheets and databases.
• Prepare technical memos, reports, and construction specifications.
• Observe and document construction activities.
• Prepare and modify drawings using AutoCAD.

• BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering.
• 0 to 3+ years of experience.
• Excellent writing and general communication skills.
• Working knowledge of CAD.
• Ability to perform field work without restrictions, in inclement weather.
• Willingness and ability to travel 25% or more.
• Valid driver’s license.

• MS in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
• Experience in Civil 3D or GIS a plus.
• 40-hr OSHA/HAZWOPER training is a plus
