Superintendent Of Construction – Actalent
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the daily coordination of trade contractors and subcontractors, ensuring high‑quality work that aligns with the approved project schedule. The ideal candidate will proactively plan ahead, communicate clearly, and maintain a strong understanding of contract documents to anticipate and resolve issues before they impact the project.
Responsibilities- Coordinate daily activities of trade contractors and subcontractors
- Develop, document, and communicate work plans for field changes
- Review and interpret contract documents to plan work and mitigate risks
- Ensure subcontractors obtain all required construction permits
- Serve as the onsite safety lead and enforce quality control standards
- Build strong working relationships with owners, trade partners, and unions
- Lead regular contractor and coordination meetings
- Maintain daily reports and project documentation using Procore
- Create, manage, and update the project schedule, including contingencies
- Communicate schedule updates and changes to the project team and trade partners
- Plan, coordinate, and manage jobsite logistics
- Oversee the project quality plan and implement improvements as needed
- 3+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
- Degree in Construction Management or related field
- Experience with healthcare or hospital projects regulated by FGI, NFPA 99, ASHE, or similar standards
- Strong ability to read and interpret building specifications and drawings
- Experience managing projects valued at $5 million or more
- Proficiency in Procore
- Solid knowledge of construction supervision and safety practices
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
This position is fully onsite and part of a Connecticut‑based construction team of more than 100 professionals, including Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents, and Project Engineers. Projects are located throughout the state, with a strong presence in the New Haven area and on large institutional campuses. The role includes 80 hours of billable PTO and six paid holidays.

Pay And BenefitsPay range: $52.00 – $60.00 per hour.
