The Rowan University Department of Music announces an Adjunct Professor of Tuba position (part-time, non-tenure track) to begin September 1, 2025. The successful candidate will join a thriving music program with a proud and long-standing tradition of excellence in music education and performance. The Department is committed to providing collaborative opportunities and inclusive programming for its nearly 400 music majors. This Adjunct Tuba Professor must demonstrate excellence as a teacher of tuba, as well as significant experience and accomplishment as a performer, and brass chamber music coach.
A master's degree in music is required.
The primary responsibility of the position is to teach weekly applied lessons for undergraduate students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with the brass Division Faculty in performance and recruiting, and the Director and Associate Director of Bands on auditions and recruiting.
Qualifications- A master's degree in music is required.
- Demonstrated excellence as a teacher of tuba.
- Significant experience and accomplishment as a performer, and brass chamber music coach.
