Warehouse & Delivery Operative

Location: Glasgow (Deliveries across Glasgow & Stirling)

Pay Rate: £14.20 per hour | Weekly Pay

Hours: Monday - Friday | 07:30am start

Manpower is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing client for a Warehouse & Delivery Operative based at their Glasgow site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong warehouse and inventory experience who also takes pride in delivering high levels of customer service. This role combines stock control, same-day order fulfilment, and customer-facing delivery responsibilities.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing customer orders from pick to delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellent service throughout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Using the inventory management system to pick and process customer orders
  • Preparing and dispatching orders for same-day delivery

    Delivering scientific and medical equipment to customer sites across Glasgow and Stirling using a company van
  • Monitoring delivery schedules and liaising with customers regarding delays or updates
  • Providing accurate expected delivery times and resolving queries professionally
  • Receiving and checking deliveries into site
  • Conducting stock checks and supporting inventory control
  • Following company procedures and health & safety standards

Customer service is a priority in this role. You will be representing the business directly to end users, so professionalism and communication skills are essential.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous warehouse and inventory management experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience using inventory or stock management systems
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work
  • Ability to manage workload to ensure same-day order fulfilment
  • Flexible attitude when required
Essential Requirements
  • Valid UK Category B driving licence
  • No more than 3 penalty points
  • Confident driving a company van during working hours
Physical Requirements
  • Regular walking across site
  • Lifting, pushing and pulling items typically up to 15kg (occasionally up to 20kg)
  • Use of pallet jacks and push carts
  • PPE required in designated areas
