Senior Academy Analyst | Celtic FC (Jobs in Sport Performance Analysis)
Job DescriptionThis role will provide high-level analysis to our senior academy squads, as directed, whilst working closely with the relevant coaching staff to aid the development of our young players.
In addition, this role will be responsible for the co-ordination of other analysts to ensure the filming, coding & uploading of academy matches each week are completed within the set framework, to the required standard & on time.

- Lead on the filming, uploading, coding & feedback process of the senior academy squads’ fixtures & training sessions
- Produce, share & present in-depth analysis relevant to the team, unit & individual performance
- Create Pre/post-match analysis & review training sessions in a timely fashion to meet specific deadlines
- Provide individual analytical support to aid the development of our young players, as required, & maintain this process to promote continued development
- Coordinate other analysts to attend Academy matches in order to film a wide angle for the requested match
- Following each filmed academy match ensure other analysts code the game in the required format & upload this to our online analysis platform in a timely fashion
- Provide in-game analysis to the coaches through live coding
- Collate & continue to update best practice content of the first team to be shared with academy players
- Initiate and carry out ad-hoc research projects for the benefit of team and individual performance
- Manage footage from academy age groups, liaising with opposition clubs to exchange home & away footage
- Upload academy footage & distribute to the relevant age groups using our internal platform
- Ensure the relevant age groups footage is uploaded to the league exchange as required
- Assist with Academy Recruitment, in terms of producing footage for assessment reports as required
- Create and maintain a video database to follow all of our players through their full journey at the Youth Academy
- Additional filming of Junior Academy games, to give our youngest players the experience of video analysis as required
- Stay informed of elite practices within football analysis and be pro-active in the search of new technologies, innovations and processes to enhance current processes
- Previous experience of working within youth/professional football
- Familiarity with analysis software (Sports code, Studio, Hudl, Wyscout, Keynote etc.)
- Efficient using performance analysis equipment to effectively film both matches & training in a wide-angle format
- Creation of relevant, engaging & detailed analysis
- Coaching / youth development
- Minimum undergraduate degree relating to the field of performance analysis, sports & exercise science or data science
- A strong technical and tactical understanding of football with the ability to contextualise and deliver this knowledge to coaches and players
- Experience delivering engaging analysis within youth/professional football
- Highly competent in software such as Sports code, Studio, Hudl, Wyscout, Keynote etc.
- Skilled in the use of camera equipment to record matches & training
- Strong work ethic – pro active
- Effective organising and planning

- Communication
- Coaching qualifications (UEFA B / Elite Youth A Licence)
- Comfortable collecting, handling and understanding data in order to integrate this into a feedback process with players & coaches
- Managing staff / students
