Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Joiner to join our team in the central belt. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing various structures and fixtures, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in carpentry, joinery, and construction trades to contribute to diverse projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install bespoke timber structures and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
  • Perform carpentry and joinery work including cutting, shaping, and fitting wood components.
  • Carry out repairs or installations as required, ensuring durability.
  • Assist with plumbing or electrical tasks if qualified, supporting multidisciplinary trades teams.
  • Undertake heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate smooth workflow.
  • Carry out construction painting to prepare surfaces for finishing or protection.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Maintain organised work areas, tools, and materials throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers; as well as power tools including drills and saws.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques and safety procedures within the building trade.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills within the construction industry while contributing to high-quality projects across Glasgow.
