HVAC Service Engineer

Location: Glasgow (field–based across Central Scotland)

Salary: 37,000 – 47,000 DOE

Contract: Permanent, Full–Time

An established HVAC company is recruiting an experienced HVAC Service Engineer to cover Glasgow and the wider Central Scotland area
. This is a service and maintenance–focused role working across commercial and light industrial environments.

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
• Fault diagnosis across electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components
• Service and maintenance of:
  • Split & multi–split air conditioning systems
  • VRV / VRF systems
  • AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems
  • Heat pumps and chillers (experience dependent)
• Leak detection, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging
• Completion of service reports, F–Gas records, and compliance documentation
• Liaison with clients, site contacts, and support teams
• Compliance with F–Gas regulations, health & safety, and site procedures
• Participation in an on–call rota (typically 1 in 6–8)

Essential:

• Proven experience as an HVAC or AC Service Engineer
• F–Gas Category 1
• Strong fault–finding and diagnostic skills
• Good electrical and mechanical knowledge
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently in a mobile role

Desirable:

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• Experience with chillers, heat pumps, or BMS–controlled systems
• 18th Edition (BS7671)
• IPAF / PASMA
• Commercial service and maintenance background

• Commercial and light industrial sites including offices, retail, healthcare, education, and distribution
• Service–led role (no installation bias)
• Strong technical and administrative support
• Realistic workloads and organised call–out structure
