Fire Alarm Engineer – Glasgow
Salary: £35,000 - £43,000 + Overtime + Company Van + Fuel Card + Training
Location: Glasgow & Surrounding Areas
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time
The RoleAs a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and fault‑finding of a wide range of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with BS5839 and delivering a professional on‑site service to clients.
Key Responsibilities- Service, maintain, and fault‑find addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
- Work on leading fire alarm brands including Gent, Kentec, C‑Tec, Advanced, Hochiki, Menvier, and Ziton
- Diagnose faults, replace components, and restore systems efficiently
- Carry out functional testing and complete accurate service reports
- Provide a professional and customer‑focused service on‑site
- Manage your own workload, van stock, and documentation
- Work independently while being supported by a strong engineering team
- Proven experience in fire alarm servicing, maintenance, or commissioning
- Solid understanding of current fire alarm regulations and standards
- Experience working with multiple fire alarm panels (training provided where required)
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- ECS or FIA training advantageous but not essential
- Competitive salary £35,000 – £43,000 (DOE)
