Automatic Gate & Barrier Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 (dependent on experience)

Alecto Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established and growing specialist within the automatic gates and barriers industry. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Service & Maintenance Engineer to support operations across Glasgow and the wider Central Scotland region.

The Role

As an Automatic Gate & Barrier Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding on automated gates, barriers, and access control systems

Working across residential and commercial sites throughout Glasgow and Central Scotland

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs

Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults

Delivering a professional, customer-focused service at all times

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

2-3+ years' experience working with automated gates and/or barriers

Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

Experience with swing and sliding gates, barriers, motors, control panels, and safety devices

A full UK driving licence (essential)

DHF, Gate Safe, or CSCS certifications (desirable but not essential)

A proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and pride in quality workmanship
