Our Communications Division is currently recruiting for Trainee Structured Cabling Engineers
, who will learn and carry out the installation of Structured Cabling Systems used for many modern networked technologies, including network outlets, telephone outlets, IT peripheral devices, PoE security, cameras, wireless access points, IPTV, fibre backbone networks, PA & AV installations.

• Install complex cable plans for communications and networked systems, including the layout of structured cabling systems for equipment installations and expansions of existing networked systems.
• Resolve technical engineering problems related to cable systems.
• Install, terminate and test to a high-quality standard as per manufacturer’s guidelines while maintaining rigorous workmanship.
• Gain knowledge of structured cabling across copper (Cat 6/6A), voice & fibre termination and testing practices to manufacturers specification.
• Work with other cabling types such as security, audio visual, PA, fibre optic and voice backbone, network and telephony requirements.

• A NMW salary.
• NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Installation & Inspection of Structured Cabling Systems.
• In-house training on installation practices and termination methods.
• Health & Safety Training/Qualifications covering workplace dangers.

• Up-to-date knowledge of modern technology trends (desirable).
• Willingness to obtain a driving licence within 2 years of employment.
