As a Customer Service Officer you will play an integral role in ensuring consistently high standards of security, safety and customer service for visitors, colleagues, retailers and contractors. You will assist in emergency situations, provide visible security cover, handle enquiries, monitor CCTV, and control contractors and deliveries.
Main Duties – Security- Work hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment
- Undertake regular patrols of the site as instructed by Management
- Carry out duties according to Assignment Instructions issued by Management
- Comply fully with the Health and Safety Policy of the site
- Ensure that the Fire Regulations and rules and regulations of the site are strictly complied with
- Report and log all incidents in the incident log
- Ensure contractors adhere to site procedures for contractor management
- Maintain a safe place for visitors
- Assist with inquiries from the public and retailers
- Attend all training specified by management
- Report unusual activity and hostile reconnaissance immediately
- Abide by all rules, terms and conditions of the company
- Prioritise customer's welfare and visiting experience at all times
- Provide a friendly welcome to every customer when covering door duties
- Treat retailers with respect and courtesy, maintaining a professional relationship
- Undertake any required Customer Service Best Practice training
- Act as a Brand Ambassador at all times
- Valid SIA Security Licence (and Public Space Surveillance Licence where required)
- Reliable, helpful, well‑presented with excellent people skills
- Ability to work in a team or independently under management direction
- Strong customer service skills, able to provide polite service by telephone, email and in person
- Efficient message relaying and instruction following
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Calm disposition
- Ability to work under pressure to deadlines
- Confident, enthusiastic personality; role involves retailer liaison to improve communication between management and tenants
Good understanding of local city centre amenities to assist with tourism, retail, accommodation and transport enquiries, and/or skill to source relevant information quickly and efficiently.
