📍 Glasgow | 💰 Up to £50k + £5k Car Allowance + Bonus
Are you a commercially driven National Account Manager in the food industry who enjoys building strong retail partnerships and driving category growth?
We’re partnering with a well-established food business that supplies private-label products to major retailers across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a National Account Manager to take ownership of a key account and play a central role in developing the relationship and growing the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys true account ownership, strategic customer management, and identifying new commercial opportunities.
The RoleAs a National Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing the Asda account, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and identifying opportunities to grow the partnership. Alongside this, you’ll manage a portfolio of smaller accounts, driving sales growth, securing new business opportunities, and developing long‑term customer relationships.
What You’ll Be Doing- Delivering sales and gross profit targets across your account portfolio
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Leading commercial discussions, including pricing, negotiations and joint business plans
- Building strong relationships with buyers and key retail stakeholders
- Working cross‑functionally with internal teams to support product development and launches
- Monitoring market trends, category insights and customer strategies
- Managing forecasting and demand planning with supply chain teams
- Presenting internally and externally on performance, opportunities and growth plans
- Experience managing Asda accounts preferred
- Strong understanding of the UK grocery retail landscape
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyse data and turn insights into commercial strategies
- Results‑driven mindset with a focus on sales and profitability
- Experience working cross‑functionally to deliver customer solutions
- Able to work from their office 5 days per week during probation, with hybrid flexibility afterwards
- Manage a high‑profile national grocery account
