Business Development Manager – Electrical Sector (Scotland)

GBP 40 K – 50 K OTE (negotiable), including a competitive basic salary, bonus, company car, pension, health and critical‑illness coverage, and life assurance.

Overview

Fantastic opportunity to join a leading electrical company as a Business Development Manager. You will work remotely from home, plan your diary and customer visits within the defined territory, identify opportunities to promote and sell electrical, lighting, power distribution, factory automation and process automation solutions across a range of industries.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities within your territory.
  • Engage with decision makers to develop and grow relationships.
  • Co‑operate with the Regional Sales Manager and marketing team for lead generation.
  • Utilise the extensive supplier product portfolio and support for technical training.
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Demonstrable sales career history and success.
  • Time management, well‑organised and excellent communication (verbal & written).
  • Self‑motivated, driven, "can‑do" attitude.
  • Commercial and technical ability.
  • Industrial electrical/control and automation knowledge (preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Customer‑focused.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
Territory & Logistics
  • Candidate must be located in Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk, Perth, Aberdeen, or have good access to these road networks (excellent candidates anywhere within the territory may also be considered).
