Utilities Sales Specialist

Frazer part of the STARK Group, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for an Utilities Sales Specialist who is as passionate about great service as we are.

What you’ll be doing:

Drive sales growth and deliver excellent customer service by proactively managing customer accounts, handling complex quotes, and developing new business opportunities. You will build lasting relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers by providing the right solutions and maximising sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing new customer accounts and lapsed accounts.
• Maximise customer interactions to support achievement of sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling relevant products offering specific product advice.
• Ensure all customer pricing is fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Build effective relationships with customers and suppliers
• Manage customer feedback accordingly and follow plans to continuously improve customer experience.
• Advise customers on specialist solutions, trading T&Cs and information in relation to customer accounts and credit levels.
• Understand local market issues, reasons for lost orders and communicate with the manager to support sales growth plans.
• Support delivery of KPIs for the sales office as well as achieving Regional and National targets.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience working in building merchants (experience in Civils and utilities merchants is desirable).
• Current knowledge of civils building materials and of the current construction market would be beneficial to the role.
• Proven experience in sales or customer focused environment delivering results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; written, phone and face to face.
• Experience in Microsoft Packages (Excel and Teams)
