Job Description
Founded in 2018, this business is looking to hire to align with their ambitious growth plans for the coming 12 months. With offices in Manchester, London and a brand-new office in Glasgow, the demand in the market is not looking to slow down anytime soon. They’re a consultancy firm that specialises in supporting businesses that are at the forefront of innovation in the UK;
whether that be software companies developing the latest in AI technologies, food & drink companies releasing new products or flavours or even sports teams that are competing to be the best!
As a Sales Development Representative
, you’ll be responsible for booking in demos & meetings for the business development team. Typical responsibilities will include:
- Prospecting potential new customers – this will include cold calling (preferred activity!) but will be supplemented with strategic Linked In & Email work.
- Working with a BDM – you’ll be working closely with the BDM team to ensure that the most is made from every opportunity.
- Working towards targets – you’ll be working towards regular activity targets (call time, calls made etc).
- Earning Potential – base salary of £28,000 (top end for entry-level roles in Glasgow!) but also an attractive commission structure which should see you earn £15k-£20k on top in your first year.
- Training & Development – Every member of the team will be given a personalised training and development plan. This includes classroom training, workshops, coaching sessions & role plays – all facilitated by senior members of the team that have been successful in the industry for a number of years.
- Progression – This business truly believes in organic growth and promoting from within. So much so, this role has become available because the last SDR they hired has recently been promoted!
- Incentives include… Regular trips away, annual holidays, lunch clubs etc.
- Motivation & Drive specifically to pursue a graduate career in sales.
- Intelligence – as you’ll be communicating with C-Level individuals and managing a challenging workload on a daily basis.
- Confidence – a lot of your time will be spent on the phone, to people you haven’t spoken to previously!
- Business Acumen – you’ll be sniffing out opportunities and will need experience of demonstrating this previously.
- Coachable – you’ll be someone that can take direction and is willing to learn!
- Organisation – updating the CRM system consistently will be a key part of your role, organisation and attention to detail is essential.
