The Research Policy Officer will support Strathclyde’s research ambitions through a range of policy work in research and related areas. The Research Policy Officer will work closely with the Research Policy Manager and others in the research policy function and across Strathclyde on the creation of research policy and supporting guidance, responses to external consultations and preparations for external review exercises such as the Research Excellence Framework ().

The Research Policy Officer will cover a range of areas including research integrity, research impact, and research evaluation.

The role holder will have excellent knowledge of the research environment in higher education, be able to demonstrate past success in delivering and managing process of consultation or review and have experience of contributing to the production of consultation responses, impact case studies, environment narratives, policy documents or similar.

Note - this is a hybrid role (remote and on‑campus working), the standard requirement within the University is that at least three days per week will be spent working on campus (with flexibility as appropriate), subject to policy change.
