The University of Glasgow's School of Infection & Immunity is seeking a talented Research Assistant/Research Associate to join its vibrant research community. This full-time, fixed-term role places the successful candidate within a team focused on advancing scientific understanding in infection biology and related health sciences. The post accommodates applicants at different stages: appointment as a Research Assistant is available for those with suitable postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience, while candidates with a PhD and a stronger research track record may be appointed as a Research Associate
, reflecting greater responsibility and autonomy.

• Plan and conduct high-quality research projects under academic guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the University and contribute to research outputs.
• Generate and interpret scientific data, document findings, and support development of research proposals and publications.

• Relevant postgraduate qualification for Research Assistant or a PhD for Research Associate.
• Strong academic record and demonstrable commitment to research.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently within a team.

Research Assistant: £33,951 to £37,694 per annum. Research Associate: £41,064 to £46,049 per annum (depending on experience and level of appointment).
